Opportunity:

RN - LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 13-week assignment
* Unit has 7 beds with a patient ratio of 1:3, variable by census and acuity
* 2 on-call shifts required per four-week schedule
* 2 weekend shifts required, variable depending on staffing
* Must have OR circulator experience
* Must have labor and delivery experience
* Preferred skills include performing SVE, placing IUPC and FSE, serving as stork nurse, and transitioning baby at delivery
* Typical procedures include induction, C-section, vaginal delivery, D&C, cerclage, versions, bilateral tubal ligation, triage, NST, OB injections, outpatient infusions, and IUFD care
* Equipment used includes GE fetal monitors, Panda warmers, IUPC, Kiwi vacuum, and Koala IUPC
* EMR systems used are Epic and CPN Connect
* Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC-EFM certification, NRP, ACLS, BLS
* May float to Mom-Baby unit if needed
* Hospital-provided royal blue scrubs required; scrubs are changed upon arrival at the facility
* Permanent Alaska RN license required for submission

Facility:

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital offering a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit located on the third floor. The unit operates with dedicated nursing staff across both day and night shifts, supported by scrub technicians. The facility features a Level II NICU with onsite pediatric hospitalists and follows established clinical protocols including Pitocin, HTN, postpartum hemorrhage, and malignant hyperthermia protocols. The unit does not perform elective deliveries prior to 39 weeks gestation.
