Opportunity:

Ultrasound Technologist

Job Details:

* Monday through Thursday schedule
* Day shift staffing of 4 sonographers plus supervisor
* Patient ratio of 8-10 patients per 8-hour shift
* Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
* Operate Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10 ultrasound equipment
* Use Allscripts EMR and InteleRad PACS systems
* Perform procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, FNAs (thyroids, parotids, lymph nodes), soft tissue mass and lymph node biopsies, liver and renal biopsies, drainages (abscesses, cysts, hematomas, gallbladders), and thrombin injections
* OR procedures include breast needle placements, carotids, D&Cs, and prostate biopsies
* Opportunities for extra shifts within the department; breast ultrasound opportunities may be available at BCC
* At least one year of experience with a wide array of ultrasound types required
* Knowledge of anatomy and pathology with ability to recognize normal from abnormal findings required
* Basic scanning skills with good understanding of sonographic physics and techniques required
* Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting with exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography required
* Preferred certifications: RVT, OB-GYN, AB
* Experience in the OR and with ultrasound procedures preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, RDMS, NH MIRT Licensure (must have NH license certification in hand prior to submission)
* Scrub attire: any color professional, clean-appearing scrubs or radiology-themed t-shirts
* Must adhere to all exam protocols and department attendance and PTO request policies

This facility is a full-service medical center offering comprehensive healthcare services across multiple specialties. The Radiology department is located on Level A and features four ultrasound rooms staffed by a team of experienced sonographers. The facility utilizes modern imaging technology and electronic medical record systems to support high-quality diagnostic services for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric care.
