Job Details:

* Work 10-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
* 40 hours guaranteed per week plus call required
* 4 weekend shifts total per contract (two separate weekends)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Position accepts first-time travelers
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Must be proficient with special equipment including Stealth, O-arm, ION, Hana table, Jackson table, and DV5 robot
* Treat patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Perform and assist with a wide range of surgical procedures including: lobe/lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reductions, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and transurethral resection of the prostate
* Support specialty surgical areas including Breast/Plastics, GYN, Eyes, Robotic, General, Neuro/Spine, Ortho, Pulmonary, and Urology
* Adhere to fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, infection control, specimen handling/labeling, and universal protocol (time out) procedures
* Perform wound management and administration of blood and blood products
* Operate cell saver equipment as needed
* Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
* Valid OK or compact RN license required

Facility:

This facility operates a busy surgical unit with 19 operating rooms and a daily census of 50 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The facility offers a wide range of surgical specialties and is equipped with advanced technology to support complex surgical procedures.
