Opportunity:
RN - ICU Float Pool
Job Details:
* Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 36 or 48 hours per week available
* Float pool position requiring rotation between ICU, MS/Tele, PCU, Overflow PACU, and Stepdown units
* Weekend shifts required with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated and no time off requests within the first 2 weeks of assignment
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers must have experience from a 400-bed or larger facility
* Travel experience required
* California RN license must be active and in hand at time of submission - no temporary or pending licenses accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; CCRN preferred
* Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz experience is a hard requirement - do not apply without this experience
* EKG exam administered on first day of orientation and must be passed to proceed with contract
* Charting system experience required: Epic
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics across a 24-bed ICU
* Required skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, hemodynamic monitoring, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias
* CRRT, EVD, and transplant experience preferred
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
* Self-scheduling unit
* Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
