Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour shifts with shift times of 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
* Required case types include CVOR, spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, and robotics
* XI robotics experience preferred
* Facility operates 20 OR rooms with 40-50 cases per day
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Weekend shifts required on an as-needed basis
* On-call required as needed
* Floating within scope required as needed; no floating to sister facilities
* Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
* Required work setting experience: CVOR, General OR, Hybrid OR
* Required cardiovascular case skills: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
* Required vascular case skills: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous Fistula repair, Carotid Angioplasty, Carotid Artery Stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair), Vein Stripping
* Required thoracic case skills: Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, Lung Resection - Thoracotomy, VATS
* Required professional knowledge and skills: Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
* Time off requests ideally no more than 5 days

This acute care teaching hospital operates as a Level 3 trauma center with 317 staffed beds. The facility features 20 operating rooms capable of handling 40-50 cases per day, supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, and robotic procedures. The organization maintains a comprehensive surgical services department equipped to handle complex, high-acuity cases across multiple specialties.
