RN - Oncology
Job Details:
* Rotating shifts working various days of the week
* Weekend shifts required per unit needs
* 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
* Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* No on-call required
* Patient ratios: 1:4 on day shift and 1:5 on night shift; ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs - candidates must be comfortable with and have prior experience in flexible staffing ratio environments
* Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister facilities
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* 36-bed Oncology/GYN-ONC/Palliative/Med Tele unit serving adult patients
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required certifications: BLS, Colorado or Compact RN license; Oncology certification preferred but not required
* Oncology skills checklist required at time of submission
* Required skills include: accessing and managing ports, administration of chemotherapy and blood products, central line care and blood draws, continuous and IV push chemotherapy administration, PICC line care, PCA pump management, neutropenic precautions, wound care, foley catheter insertion and management, phlebotomy, and recognition of abnormal lab values among others
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, social services, and more
* Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
* RTO not allowed during the following blackout periods: June 28 July 9, 2026; September 2 September 12, 2026; October 25 November 4, 2026; November 22 December 2, 2026; December 20 January 3, 2027
* No blocked scheduling requests permitted

The oncology unit is a 36-bed dedicated unit supporting oncology, gynecologic oncology, palliative care, and medical telemetry patients. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services to ensure high-quality patient care.
