Family Medicine MA-C
Job Details:
* 13-week contract with temp-to-hire opportunity; candidates must be willing and able to join the clinic permanently if presented with an offer at the end of the contract
* Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no weekends)
* No on-call or weekend requirements
* Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R), Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P), and Medical Assistant-Hemodialysis Technician (MA-HT) are not eligible
* At least 6 months of experience as an MA-C required; OB experience preferred, but Family Medicine, Adult, or Pediatric Outpatient setting experience is required
* Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment
* Work in a team-based approach with MA-to-clinician ratios that may vary (e.g., 1:1 or 2:3 depending on staffing needs)
* May be required to float between the Central Seattle clinic and Downtown Seattle clinic depending on clinic staffing needs
* Patient population includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Charting system: EPIC experience required
* Scrub color: Any color
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Key skills include: administering medication, administration of TB test, blood glucose via glucometer, chart preparation, ear lavage, follow-up phone calls, hearing screening, height/weight, immunizations, nebulizer treatments, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, obtaining vital signs, pap smear, pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, rooming patients, scheduling appointments, stocking supplies, strep, suture removal, telephone triage, urine UA/clean catch, urine dipstick/urinalysis, and vision testing
* Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services and phlebotomy
* Local candidates only; must live within a 30-mile radius of the clinic
