Opportunity:

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Details:

* Work 5x8 shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Daily caseload of 6.5 out of 8 hours of contact time with patients (number of patients may vary based on individual treatment times of 30 to 60 minutes)
* Occasional weekend shifts required
* No on-call requirements
* Primary position within Inpatient Rehab Program with potential to float to acute care based on census fluctuations
* Work within a hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation facility on the 9th floor with 28 patient beds
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 2 to 3 years of experience with Inpatient Rehab Facility required
* First-time travelers accepted with prior IRF experience
* Current South Carolina state licensure required
* Required certifications: BLS, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
* Special skills required: NMES (Vital Stim) and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS)
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Charting completed in Epic
* Scrub color: Misty Grey (light grey/silver)
* No parking cost
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September

This facility is a hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation program located on the 9th floor of a 396-bed hospital, offering specialized rehabilitation services within a comprehensive acute care setting. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment to support patient recovery.
