RN/MS ONC NIGHTS-Metro Region
Job Details:
* Night shift position with variable days of the week
* 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period based on unit needs
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 on night shift; ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs
* Must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
* Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and may float to sister facilities
* No on-call required
* 36-bed Oncology/GYN-ONC/Palliative/Med Tele unit
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy
* Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, Colorado or Compact RN license
* Oncology certification preferred but not required; Chemo (ONS/ONCC) certification preferred
* Trauma Level II experience required
* Patient population: Adults
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy and blood products, central line care and blood draw, PICC line care, IV push administration of chemotherapy, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, neutropenic precautions, PCA pump management, wound care, foley catheter insertion/management, phlebotomy, sepsis management, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, social services, and others
* Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
* RTO is not allowed during the following blackout periods: September 2 September 12, 2026; October 25 November 4, 2026; November 22 December 2, 2026; December 20 January 3, 2027
