Opportunity:

Infectious Disease Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Job Details:

* 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* No weekend or on-call requirements
* Temp to hire opportunity open to local and non-local candidates
* Must be a certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT credentials are not accepted
* Minimum 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting required
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: Any color
* No floating between units - same location every day
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Required skills include vital signs (height/weight, 12-lead EKG/ECG, pulse oximetry, vision testing), patient preparation (positioning/draping, recording history/medications/allergies), procedure assistance (dressing changes, Pap smear, aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup), injections (immunizations, intradermal, intramuscular), specimen collection (sputum, stool, throat, urine, vaginal, wound), laboratory tests (Strep, urine dipstick/urinalysis), office duties (authorization forms, chart preparation, insurance verification, ordering and stocking supplies, pharmacy calls, scheduling appointments, telephone triage), and professional skills (administering medication, TB test administration, aseptic technique, follow-up phone calls, reviewing lab tests, rooming patients, suture removal, wound care)

This infectious disease clinic provides specialized outpatient care for adult patients, offering a focused and collaborative clinical environment. The facility utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains a structured Monday through Friday schedule, providing healthcare professionals with a consistent and supportive work setting within an established healthcare network.
