Job Details:

* Shifts alternate between 6:30 AM 5:00 PM and 9:00 AM 8:00 PM throughout the schedule
* On-call required: 2 forty-eight-hour weekends and 14 weekday shifts per 6-week schedule
* Weeknight call hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend call begins at 7:00 AM Saturday and runs through 7:00 AM Monday
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Travelers may be required to make up missed shifts during the same week or at the end of the assignment
* Floating required between two campuses approximately 12 miles apart (15?20 minute drive); travelers are first to float
* Minimum 2 years of cardiac and vascular experience required
* Scrub experience in cardiac and vascular required; scrub experience in general, urology, and ortho highly preferred
* Level 2 trauma center experience with trauma patients required
* Cardiac procedures include: Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, TAVR, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), and Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery
* Vascular procedures include: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortocaval fistula repair, Aortoenteric fistula repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Arteriovenous malformation surgery, Atherectomy, Carotid angioplasty/artery stenting/Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Renal artery bypass surgery, and TEVAR
* Charting system: Cerner (preferred)
* Hospital scrubs provided
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA (CST), or NCCT
* Local candidates accepted with a rate differential applied

Facility:

This health system operates two hospital campuses and is home to a comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery, structural heart, and advanced heart failure program. The Heart & Lung Institute performs advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, valve surgery, and TAVR. The facility is a Level 2 trauma center and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
