Opportunity:

Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* Temp to perm opportunity
* Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
* Holiday rotation required
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs required
* May be required to float or be permanently switched to CSC, ART, or West Campus
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Experience required in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap
* Preferred case experience: Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* Travel experience required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; guaranteed hours apply accordingly
* No more than 2 callouts without a doctor's note; 3rd callout may result in removal
* No more than 3 tardies permitted
* If holidays are not included in approved time off requests and the facility is open, traveler is expected to work
* Traveler will be assigned to Inclement Weather Team A or B; expectations provided by management
* Skills include: sterilization wrapping, high-level disinfection, immediate-use steam sterilization, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/tray assembly, biological and chemical indicators, use of washers/sterilizers, and aseptic technique
* Parking: nights and weekends only; one-time payment of $20 for parking pass

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. It is a large, highly accredited healthcare institution offering advanced surgical and specialty services across multiple campuses.
