Opportunity:

Clinical Assistant - Outpatient Oncology

Job Details:

* Work in an ambulatory outpatient oncology clinic with hours of operation from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM
* Position is based primarily on Yawkey 6, with potential coverage on Yawkey 5
* Yawkey 5 operates from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM serving patients in the Melanoma and Cutaneous Oncology Clinic
* Yawkey 6 includes an exam clinic, procedure suite, and infusion center serving Sarcoma patients, Phase I Clinical Trial participants, and patients undergoing bone marrow biopsies
* Rotate through exam clinic, procedure suite, and infusion center areas
* Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and preparing exam rooms
* Assist with skin biopsies, bone marrow biopsies, and specimen collection and processing
* Perform EKGs in both the exam clinic and infusion center settings
* Provide direct patient care support in the infusion center
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Required skills: Adult outpatient clinic, biopsy, labeling of specimens, 12-lead EKG/ECG, vital signs, recording history/medications/allergies, rooming patients, specimen handling, and oncology experience
* Massachusetts license in-hand required; no pending licenses accepted
* One supervisory-level reference required
* May be asked to float within the facility or to a nearby affiliate location
