Opportunity:

HYDE 12 Hr Evenings

Job Details:

* 12-hour evening shifts
* Ability to float to any UCSF campus or facility
* Patient ratio of 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of approximately 60 patients across 15 rooms and 17 beds
* Treat patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* BSN required
* Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
* Pediatric Emergency Department experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Travel experience within the last 12 months required
* Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
* Required certifications: CA RN License, AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP, OCN, SANE, TNCC
* Required skills include: triage, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chest tube management, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, IV vasopressors, intubation, procedural sedation, ICP monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, interpretation of ABGs, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, splint application, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
* Experience managing psychiatric holds, suicidal patients, and violent behavior required
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and interpretation services

The emergency department is equipped to handle a wide range of conditions including trauma, neurological emergencies, pediatric cases, and behavioral health situations. The facility maintains STEMI and Stroke certifications and operates with robust interdisciplinary support to ensure high-quality patient care across all departments.
