Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
* 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend required
* 40-bed Level IV NICU unit accredited by the American Academy of Pediatrics
* Nurse to patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 for critical and intermediate infants; 3:1 for infants who are growing and feeding
* Deliver nursing care to neonates including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and charting
* Assist with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, IV starts, and admissions
* Perform neonatal assessments and care for IVs, umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, oral and IV medications, OG and NG feedings, and G-tubes
* Must be able to administer medications through PICC line
* Able and willing to float to PICU and PEDS units
* Equipment utilized includes conventional ventilators (Draeger), high frequency ventilators (jet and oscillator), nitric oxide, cool cap, MedFusion pumps, Smart pumps, Spacelab monitors, MAK for medications, and Accudose
* Charting system: EPIC (experience highly preferred)
* Child-friendly scrubs with role-specific colored pants required
* Must badge in and out at facility
* 2+ years of NICU experience required
* Active ND and Compact RN License required (willing to obtain)
* Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* BSN not required

This facility is a Level IV NICU accredited by the American Academy of Pediatrics, providing the highest level of neonatal care for critically ill and premature infants. The unit features 40 beds and is equipped with advanced medical technology to support a wide range of neonatal conditions. The facility offers a structured orientation program including EPIC training and hands-on unit acclimation to ensure safe and effective patient care from the start.
