Opportunity:

LTAC ICU - NIGHT

Job Details:

* Night shift position in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) ICU setting
* 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; standard schedule is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
* Weekends supported by rotating on-call coverage among 6 to 8 staff members
* On-call required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, supported by Primary and Backup call
* Contract options available for 13 or 26 weeks
* Block scheduling type
* Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float may be required to Med Surg unit at a 1:5 ratio
* Staff work both the 12-bed ICU and 35-bed Med Surg unit
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics (18 years and older)
* Patient diagnoses include vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, trach/peg care
* 2 years of ICU experience required
* Neurology experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, central line care, chest tubes, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, modes of ventilation, tracheostomy care, weaning from mechanical ventilation, stroke scale assessment, management of dysrhythmias, and complex wound care among others
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
