Opportunity:

RN - LDRP

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in LDRP, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care required
* Float required as needed between units
* Staffing ratio of 1:1-3
* Care for patients across Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn diagnoses
* Perform and assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and circulate in the OR
* Start adult IVs and administer blood and blood products
* Manage drains, epidural pumps, and PCA pumps
* Administer insulin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives
* Work with high-risk antepartum, high-risk L&D, LDRP, low-risk antepartum/LD, OB-GYN, and post-op/pre-op couplet care
* Charting system: Epic
* Patient age groups: Infants and Adults
* Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP
* ACLS preferred
* Required skills: Circulate for C-section, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), IV start, sterile vaginal exam, OB triage, use of IUPC, use of PCA (IV), anticoagulation therapy, isolation precautions/PPE, pain assessment and management, maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC)
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility

The unit supports a high volume of births per month ranging from 200 to 300 and is equipped to handle both low-risk and high-risk obstetric cases.
