Opportunity:

Medical Assistant - OBGYN

Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
* No weekend requirements
* Floating required as needed between Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, and Playa Vista locations
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting required
* Minimum 1 year of OBGYN experience required (hard stop)
* Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture required (hard stop)
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC only), CMA
* Education: High School Diploma or GED required
* Charting system experience required; Epic experience required
* Secondary OBGYN questionnaire required and will be sent at time of submission
* Room patients, obtain vital signs, and record patient histories and medications
* Perform blood and specimen collection, venipuncture, and labeling of specimens
* Administer medications including intramuscular injections and immunizations
* Assist with OB/GYN procedures including PAP, Colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NST
* Conduct follow-up phone calls and telephone triage
* Address patient, physician, and staff concerns and escalate accordingly
* Assist with QA measures including recording QC testing on designated equipment
* Monitor workflow to identify opportunities for improvement
* Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings
* Adhere to all infection prevention standards, department policies, and guidelines
* Patient population: Adult women's reproductive health

This outpatient OBGYN office operates with approximately 20 providers and specializes in women's health care services. The facility provides comprehensive OB visits, GYN consults, and OB/GYN procedures, supporting a wide range of women's reproductive health needs. The organization maintains high standards of patient care and operates across multiple locations in the greater Los Angeles area.
