Opportunity:

First Assist - Surgical/Cardiovascular

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule with a rotating day off
* Call is required with one rotating call day per week
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA
* Must be comfortable with vein harvesting for CABG procedures
* Must be comfortable assisting in on and off pump CABGs, VATs, and valve replacements
* Required skills include: scrubbing experience, general surgery, orthopedics, ortho/spine, ortho/total joints, urology, endo/laparoscopic, GYN, and robotics
* Preferred experience includes: vascular, neuro, neuro/spine, bariatrics, podiatry, ENT, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, anterior/posterior repair, robotic assisted gynecological procedures, and vaginal hysterectomy
* Required equipment experience: operating room table, Hana/fracture table, stirrups, Bovie, laparoscopic surgery equipment, and DaVinci XI robotics
* Facility serves adults and geriatric patient populations
* May float to labor and delivery if needed
* 20 orientation hours required
* Unit accepts first-time travelers

The facility is equipped with advanced technology including DaVinci XI robotic surgical systems and features 18 operating rooms with a dedicated cardiovascular team. The organization handles approximately 35 cases per day and maintains high standards for surgical care across multiple specialties.
