Special Procedures Technologist

Job Details:

* Support Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Block scheduling with attempts made to schedule as consistently as possible
* Weeknight and weekend call required
* On-call requirement includes 8 call days within a 4-week period, with a 2-hour call back minimum
* 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks, Friday through Monday, with 24-hour on-call coverage on Saturday and Sunday
* Daily caseload of approximately 15 cases per department
* Float within cath lab unit as needed to meet facility needs; no floating to sister facilities
* Patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Top procedures include Structural Heart (TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman), IR, Neuro, Vascular, Cardiac, and EP
* Required skills include angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, embolization, endovascular interventions, EVAR, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper and lower extremity angiography
* Most common equipment includes Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Philips IVUS/IFR/FFR, Boston IVUS/IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave
* Electronic charting experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, ARRT (R), BLS, and State License

This advanced medical facility operates a state-of-the-art cath lab unit with 5 procedure rooms and 220 beds, supporting a wide range of complex interventional specialties including structural heart, IR, neuro, vascular, cardiac, and electrophysiology. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for clinical staff.
