Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
* Every other weekend required
* Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2, occasionally 1:3 with patients ready to leave ICU
* On-call only when census drops, otherwise no call required
* Travelers float first to ED and step down units
* Required certifications: RN License, ACLS, BLS
* Additional certifications welcomed: TNCC, NIH, ABLS
* Required uniform: Navy blue scrubs
* Advanced skills required: Vent management, ABG interpretation, vasoactive drip titration, and hemodynamic monitoring
* Procedures performed on unit include intubations, central line placement, bronchoscopies, bedside trach, and PEG tube placement
* Equipment used: Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV1000 and CCO, Primaflex CRRT, and Cardiohelp ECMO
* Documentation system: Meditech
* No CNAs on unit; one telemetry technician available

Facility:

This facility is a Level 2 trauma center featuring a 29-bed general ICU with an average staff experience of 12 years in critical care. The facility houses an active heart program performing approximately 200 cases per year, along with advanced capabilities including CRRT, Impella, IABP, and ECMO. A burn center has been in operation since April 2019, making this a comprehensive and dynamic critical care environment.
