Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* 4x10 shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Weekend shifts required
* On-call required: 14-15 days of call in a 6-week period
* Call hours are 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays and 5:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday for weekends on a rotation per call team
* Must reside within a 30-minute radius of the hospital while on call
* No on-site call accommodations available
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Strong Cath Lab and IR experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RCIS with IR Tech experience, ARRT R
* Perform procedures including cardiac catheterization with and without intervention, STEMI response, vascular procedures, cardiac rhythm device implantation, cardioversion/TEE, EP studies, and pain management procedures
* Perform skills including angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, PCI, PTCA, IVC filter placement, thrombectomy, TIPS, and peripheral vascular angiography
* Work with 2-3 teams of four during the day and a team of four on call during nights and weekends
* Facility averages approximately 280 cases per month with 8-12 STEMIs per month
* Operate within 4 procedure rooms covering caths, devices, pain procedures, EP studies with ablations, and peripheral vascular angiography
* Work with equipment including Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy suites, Philips ISVC PACS, Philips Xper hemodynamics, and Maquet IABP
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Preferred skills include pacemaker experience, obtaining vitals, rhythm interpretation, and sinus node rhythms
* Maximum of 1 approved time-off request permitted
