Opportunity:

RN - CSSU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with a requirement of 12 shifts per month (3 shifts per week)
* 4 weekend shifts required per month
* Department leadership completes the schedule around requested time off
* Patient ratio of 4:1
* 1-2 LNA support available per shift
* Floating policy requires travelers to float first on a rotation basis
* Update MyCare boards each shift during bedside shift report
* Complete bedside shift report at each change of shift
* Must have strong telemetry skills
* Must have experience titrating vasoactive medications such as Levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine
* Must have chest tube experience
* Arterial lines, Flo-Tracs, and temporary pacing experience preferred
* Procedures performed on unit include temporary pacing, pre-op prep for cardiovascular surgery, chest tube removal, and arterial line removal
* Equipment used includes GE Monitors, Hamilton BiPAP and HiFlo, Baxter IV Pumps, and Hemospheres
* Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Scrubs required (color does not matter)

Facility:

This facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 2 Trauma Center offering a specialized cardiovascular and vascular surgery unit. The 15-bed unit is supported by a central monitor station, a dedicated mobility team, and LNA support staff. The facility is equipped with modern technology and equipment to support complex cardiovascular patient care needs.
