Job Details:

* Day shift position working 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
* 2 years of sterile processing experience preferred
* Previous travel experience preferred
* On-call required
* CBSPD not required; BLS certification required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* Must be comfortable floating to like units within scope as needed
* Work with patients across adult and geriatric age groups
* Patient diagnoses include orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, robotics, eyes, urology, general surgery, podiatry, GI lab, ENT, and GYN
* Sterile processing decontamination and clean assembly areas located on 2 floors of the facility
* Required equipment experience includes SPD instrument tracking, SPD sterilization equipment, and SPD decontam equipment
* Required skills include: Acute Hospital OR, Ambulatory Surgery Center, biological indicators, case cart, chemical indicators, cleaning equipment, high-level disinfection, immediate-use steam sterilization, laparoscopic, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/trays assembly, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, sterilization wrapping procedures, use of washers/sterilizers, and aseptic technique

Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive medical center offering a wide range of surgical and procedural services across multiple specialties. The sterile processing department operates across two floors of the hospital, supporting a high-volume environment with 14 operating rooms and a daily census of 35. The facility provides specialty services including orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, robotics, urology, general surgery, and more, making it a dynamic environment for sterile processing professionals.
