Job Details:

* Day shift position working 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
* Call required
* 2 years of sterile processing experience preferred
* Previous travel experience preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS
* CBSPD certification not required
* Must be proficient with SPD instrument tracking, SPD sterilization equipment, and SPD decontamination equipment
* Work across sterile processing decontamination and clean assembly areas located on 2 floors of the facility
* Patient diagnoses include orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, robotics, eyes, urology, general surgery, podiatry, GI lab, ENT, and GYN
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Daily census of 35 patients with 14 rooms
* Required skills include: Acute Hospital OR, Ambulatory Surgery Center, biological indicators, case cart, chemical indicators, cleaning equipment, high-level disinfection, immediate-use steam sterilization, laparoscopic, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/trays assembly, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, sterilization wrapping procedures, use of washers/sterilizers, and aseptic technique
* Travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope as needed based on facility needs

This facility is a comprehensive medical center offering a wide range of surgical and procedural services including orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, robotics, urology, general surgery, podiatry, GI lab, ENT, and GYN. The facility operates sterile processing decontamination and clean assembly areas across multiple floors, supporting a high-volume surgical environment with modern equipment and instrument tracking systems.
