Job Details:

* Full-time position, Monday through Friday schedule
* Perform perioperative nursing role including preoperative assessment, nursing care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation of patient response and outcomes
* Evaluate effectiveness and appropriateness of nursing care provided with proper documentation
* Assist in setup and performance of cases by assembling equipment and supplies according to sterile technique
* Open sterile packs, instruments, and supplies according to sterile technique
* Prepare each patient for surgery by placing patient in appropriate position and preparing the operative site
* Confirm procedure and site according to the surgeon's history, physical, and operating room team
* Assist with moving patients to and from the operating table
* Perform surgical counts including sponges, sharps, and instruments with documentation on legal records
* Assist in clean-up of operating room following surgery including proper disposal of used supplies and sharps
* Active RN license required
* Minimum of one (1) year of surgical experience required
* Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
