CT Scan Tech / Pediatrics

Job Details:

* Work Monday through Wednesday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Thursday 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM
* No on-call required
* Daily caseload ratio of 1.5:1 per tech
* Must have strong pediatric CT skills and ability to work independently
* Floating to other buildings within the facility may be required
* 1 year of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted with experience
* Must have Siemens experience - specifically Siemens Drive Somaris 7
* Level 1 Trauma experience required
* Children's Hospital experience required
* IR/Angio/Special Procedures experience required including Paracentesis and Thoracentesis
* Skills required include: CT of abdomen, chest, head, cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and pelvis without and/or with contrast, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, multiplanar reconstruction, musculoskeletal trauma, preparation and administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IVs, and PICU experience
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
* Parking pass available for a one-time payment of $20 (nights and weekends only)
* Agency must supply radiation badge
* Guaranteed hours subject to facility calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT RT(R)(CT), ARRT Advanced Certification, South Carolina license in hand at time of start

This facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center with 865 staffed beds. The facility operates as a Pediatric Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center, providing a wide range of services including routine studies, outpatient care, and Interventional Radiology procedures. The organization maintains high standards of patient care and utilizes advanced imaging technology to support its diverse and complex patient population.
