Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* Work 5x8 shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* On-call required at least once every two months; call runs from 7:00 AM Saturday through 7:00 AM Monday
* Guaranteed hours: facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
* No floating to other units required
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Experience required in sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, and scope reprocessing
* Preferred case experience includes: Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* BLS not required
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Charting system: Epic
* No parking cost

This acute care hospital is a Level III Trauma Center with 286 total staffed beds, offering a full range of surgical and specialty services. The facility supports a wide variety of complex case types and utilizes Epic for clinical charting. The sterile processing department handles diverse surgical instrumentation across multiple specialties, providing an engaging and dynamic environment for experienced technicians.
