Rad Tech - Interventional Radiology
Job Details:
* 8-hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
* 40 hours guaranteed per week
* 13-week contract
* Call requirement: one day per week following a team rotation schedule (Tuesday, Thursday, Monday, Wednesday, Weekend)
* Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 6-7 weeks
* No float requirement
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers will not be accepted
* Previous stroke certified hospital experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Pyxis system experience required
* Required certifications: ARRT, BLS
* Preferred certifications: ARRT CI, ARRT VI
* Required work setting skills: Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures
* Required equipment skills: Fluoroscopy, PACS, equipment maintenance and supply stocking
* Required procedural skills: Equipment setup, prep access site, room circulator, scrub and maintain sterile field
* Required professional skills: 3D imaging, isolation precautions/PPE, lead tech experience, use of rapid response/code teams, sterile technique
* Special procedures performed include: Stroke Intervention, Intracranial Embolization, Kyphoplasty, Carotid and Vertebral Stent, Nephrostomy, Biliary Placement, Chemo Embolization, Therasphere Mapping and Infusion, Mesenteric Angiogram, UAE, GAE, PAE, Chest Port, and Perm Cath Placement
* Special equipment used: GE Innova Single Plane and Siemens Artis Biplane x2
* Scrubs not provided; light blue scrubs required
* 40-hour unit orientation required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
