Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (day) or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (night)
* Located on the 2nd floor of the Main Campus building
* 10-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4-5
* Every other weekend required with no on-call responsibilities
* Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required
* Previous experience in a charge role preferred (for independent thinking and multitasking purposes)
* Perform procedures including STEMI protocol, stroke protocol, conscious sedation, chest tubes, codes, and intubation
* Work with equipment including Philips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner
* Use Meditech Expanse EMR system
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
* Ideal candidate is friendly, honest, flexible, compassionate, a strong multitasker, works well with others, demonstrates a sense of urgency when needed, and possesses superb critical thinking skills

This facility is a community-based hospital located in the Texas Hill Country region, offering a range of inpatient and critical care services. The ICU operates with a small, collaborative team providing high-acuity care with access to modern medical equipment and technology. The unit supports a close-knit staff structure with charge nurses on both day and night shifts, fostering a team-oriented and patient-centered care environment.
