L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 4-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
* Scrubs provided by facility
* First time travelers welcome
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted)
* AWHONN Advanced certification preferred
* Required skills include: antepartum care, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, recovering C-section patients, insulin drips, isolation precautions/PPE, maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC), sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of external fetal heart monitoring (EFM)
* Care for neonatal and adult patient populations
* 15-room, 15-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs

This healthcare facility operates a well-equipped Labor & Delivery unit with 15 rooms and beds, supporting a volume of 100-200 facility births per month. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for both staff and patients.
