Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac/Telemetry (5 North)

Job Details:

* 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week
* Patient ratio of 1:5-6
* Half of contract weekends required
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS
* Charting system experience required; Epic charting system
* Care for adult patients ranging from young adults through geriatric population
* Provide medical level cardiac care and support recovery from cardiac interventions including cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant
* Care for hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients
* Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, vasoactive drip management, PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath care, pre/post cardiac surgery care, post cardiac angiogram care, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This facility operates a 36-bed cardiac unit comprised entirely of private rooms. The unit prioritizes admission for patients requiring medical-level cardiac care and those recovering from cardiac interventions. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services and maintains a focus on delivering high-quality cardiac care to its patient population.
