Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts per week
* Every other weekend coverage required
* No call or float requirements
* Patient ratio of 3:1 across days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Manage a broad range of emergency conditions including abdominal pain, asthma, CVA, head injuries, traumatic brain injuries, seizures, spinal cord injuries, and multisystem organ dysfunction
* Perform and manage arterial lines, central line care, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
* Administer blood products and manage ventilated patients
* Conduct triage, phlebotomy, and IV placement and maintenance
* Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias and manage cardiac rhythm abnormalities
* Provide care for mental and behavioral health conditions, ortho trauma, burns, and poison ingestion
* Utilize interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This facility operates a high-volume emergency department with 14 beds and rooms, seeing approximately 32 patient visits per day with a daily census of 34. The emergency department serves a diverse patient population across all age groups and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The facility is committed to delivering quality emergency care and maintains robust staffing structures to support both staff and patients.
