Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hour weekly guarantee
* Every other weekend shift required
* 1:4 patient ratio with 74-bed emergency department averaging 165-175 patients per day
* Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics
* Work in a large, high-acuity, non-trauma emergency department that is Stroke and STEMI Certified
* Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required - prefer travelers with at least 3 completed ER contracts; candidates with 1-2 completed travel assignments may be screened
* Epic experience required (hard stop - will be redirected without Epic experience)
* Pyxis experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: SANE, TNCC
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required skills include: interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, intubation, IV vasopressors, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, chest tube management, procedural sedation, triage, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG/ECG, BiPAP/CPAP management, and managing violent behavior
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* RTO blackout dates: Spring Break (April 4th - April 12th)
* No RTO can be requested during orientation week (Monday - Sunday)
* If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work two of them
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Floating is rare but may occur within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Orientation hours: 24 hours
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
