Job Details:

* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float between sister facility approximately 16-20 miles away on a rare occurrence basis
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Trauma Level II experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Scrub color: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
* Free parking available
* Treats patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 20 patients across 26 beds
* Care for cardiac, neuro, med-surg, and trauma patients
* Required skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, CRRT, EVD management, ICP monitoring, and CVA/acute stroke management among others
* Special procedures include hypothermia post cardiac arrest, open heart surgery/CABG, TBI management, primary stroke center protocols (TNK), CRRT, and TAVR
* Special equipment includes Arctic Sun, IABP, CRRT, Impella, EVD, Belmont, Cheetah Monitor, and Flo Trac
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more
* 40 orientation hours provided
* RTO must be included at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

This acute care hospital features 277 staffed beds and operates as a Level II Trauma Center, providing comprehensive critical care services. The facility offers advanced cardiac, neurological, and trauma services supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The unit maintains a low 2:1 patient ratio and is equipped with specialized technology to support complex patient care needs.
