Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
* 26-week contract with a hard start date of 11/16
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
* Cardiovascular experience required, including open heart and balloon pump experience
* First-time travelers accepted
* Average census of 24 patients with 28 beds available
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend coverage required
* No on-call requirement
* Self-scheduling available
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
* Charting system: Allscripts (preferred)
* Community hospital experience required
* Required skills include: interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care and management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of ABGs, and suctioning
* Telemetry interpretation skills required - must pass Relias EKG exam prior to start (80% minimum passing score, two attempts permitted) and pass onsite EKG competency assessment
* Onsite EKG exam consists of 20 questions, 17 rhythm strips, and 3 general questions with a 45-minute time limit
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, VIP, MAB, or CPI certifications (in-person courses only)
* No pre-approved time off during the first two weeks of assignment
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submittal and cannot be changed after submission except to cancel
