Job Details:
* Night shift position in the Intensive Care Unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 48 hours at straight time allowed per schedule
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* Patient ratio of 1:2 maintained on days, nights, and weekends
* May be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU with a maximum of 4 patients while floating
* 32-bed unit serving adult patient population
* 1.5+ years of experience required; 2 years preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Pending New Mexico or Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start)
* 50-mile local radius applies; locals not accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chronic/acute renal failure, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, neuro intensive care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post neurosurgery management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
