Open Position: RAD Tech - Cath Lab

Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technician

Job Details:

* Cardiac Cath Lab experience required with at least two of four modalities: Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro
* Minimum 18 months of experience in specialty required, 2 years preferred
* Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
* Call requirement based on unit need, discussed with Nurse Manager on a case-by-case basis
* Weekend requirements can be discussed with manager
* Float required within scope to meet facility needs, including to all 3 sister hospitals within 20 miles
* Block scheduling not available
* All RTO must be submitted at time of initial submission
* Required certifications: AHA ACLS and BLS
* Preferred certifications: RCVT, RCIS, ARRT R, CCI RCIS
* EPIC charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Ceil Blue
* Scrub procedures required including maintaining sterile field and room circulator duties
* Skills required include: Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, IABP Placement/Removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, Left and Right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, Rotablator atherectomy, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
* EKG and Pharmacology tests required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each
* Required modules must be completed prior to start date and are non-billable
* 2 references from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or director required
* Nicotine-free facility - negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required

This short-term acute care facility is a 180-bed hospital offering comprehensive cardiac and interventional services. The facility utilizes EPIC for charting and provides free parking for staff. The organization maintains a strict attendance and smoke-free policy and is committed to high standards of patient care across multiple campuses located within 20 miles of one another.
