Opportunity:
Peds/Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN
Job Details:
* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* No call required
* May float to cover as bedside nurse in NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics units
* Support ground transportation needs transporting infants and pediatric patients from surrounding hospitals, ERs, and L&D/NICU to a higher level of care
* Work alongside a transportation team including Respiratory Therapist and advanced practice provider
* Pick up patients from ED, NICU, and other units as needed
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; at least 2 years preferred
* Must have experience in ground transportation
* Charge nurse experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required skills include: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, anti-seizure medications, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line blood draw, continuous sedation, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, management of chest tubes, NG tube insertion/management, pediatric dosage calculations, phlebotomy, suctioning (ETT, NT), tracheostomy care, urinary catheter insertion/management, and ventilator management
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
