BLOCK TRAVEL EXP - MS/Tele RN - Req 10824
Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts with variable scheduling
* Every other weekend required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
* Block schedules approved but not required
* Expected patient ratio of 1:5, with unit ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* Position will float between units including up to 6 other acute care departments within the hospital
* On-call may be required due to low census
* 40 orientation hours required
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Seasoned traveler required with at least one prior travel contract
* Travel experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required charting system experience: Epic
* Dress code for licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN): solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire (scrub tops may have colored piping; print tops are not acceptable)
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care/management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, PCA, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, telemetry on-unit monitoring, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal

Facility:
This short-term acute care facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center with 379 total staffed beds. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more. The medical-surgical telemetry unit consists of 30 beds with a daily census of approximately 27 patients, offering a dynamic and well-supported clinical environment.
