Job Details:

* 10-hour day shifts with a 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM start time
* Work in a 6-suite OR department including 2 endoscopy suites, 1 C-section suite, and 2 pain clinic suites
* Average 15-20 cases per day in Main OR and 15 cases per day in Pain Clinic (Monday through Thursday)
* Common cases include laparoscopic, cysto, podiatry, ENT, OBGYN, urology, plastics, pediatric dental, GI, ortho, neuro spine, and robotics
* Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
* Ortho and robotics experience required
* Scrubbing required for RNs; scrub experience is a bonus
* Charting system: EPIC
* No self-scheduling or block scheduling; time off requests must be submitted prior to start date
* Weeknight call will be rare unless filling in for regular call RN
* Weekend call typically consists of one weekend day every 4-5 weeks with a 24-hour call rotation from 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM on either Saturday or Sunday (only one day assigned)
* Holiday call is rotated with typically one holiday per contract
* Call response time: 20 minutes for C-section cases, 30 minutes for all other cases
* Floating limited to Endoscopy or Pain Clinic only
* Scrubs provided by facility; cloth hats permitted and hospital laundered; OR-dedicated shoes required
* Orientation consists of 3-4 days of general hospital orientation followed by 1 week of OR-specific orientation
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Trauma Level 3 facility
* Cannot reside in North Platte, NE

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive surgical department featuring six operating rooms, dedicated endoscopy suites, a C-section suite, and a pain clinic. The facility handles a wide variety of surgical cases including orthopedic, neurological, robotic, and gynecological procedures, supported by a charge nurse structure and 24/7 house supervision. The organization maintains high standards of patient care across multiple surgical specialties and utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system.
