Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 13-week assignment
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Rotating weekends required with 4 weekend shifts per schedule
* Holidays per unit policy
* No on-call requirements
* 2+ years of emergency room experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
* Active Texas RN license required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
* Meditech documentation system experience preferred
* Must be willing to float per Methodist Floating Policy
* Perform procedures including urgent care, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric emergency care
* Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket; hair must be neat with no extreme styles or colors; body art must be covered whenever possible; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited; nails must be clean and healthy

Facility:

This facility is a full-service, freestanding emergency center operating 24/7, 365 days a year, and was the first of its kind in South and Central Texas. The emergency center features 15 treatment rooms including trauma and cardiac care rooms, fast-track non-urgent treatment rooms, and observation beds for 24-hour monitoring. The facility offers a full range of services including radiology, a full-service laboratory, telemetry, a 16-slice CT scanner, dedicated X-ray suite, and ultrasound equipment, with air and ground transport available for critically ill or injured patients requiring advanced care.
