Open Position: RN - Med Surg Tele

Opportunity:

RN - MS/Tele

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend required, may change based on need
* Float to similar units required if needed
* Patient ratios: 6 patients during days, 7 patients during nights and weekends
* Daily census of 30 patients with 30 beds available
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include general medical, pre and post-operative care
* Perform and assist with special procedures including post heart cath care, bedside dialysis cath, thoracentesis, and incision & drainage
* Medication system: Omnicell
* Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* First-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active RN Tennessee license required
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care and management, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, managing cardiac drips without titration, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, pre and post hemodialysis management, starting and maintaining IVs, TR Band, and wound care and wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
