Opportunity:

RN MS/TELE - Transplant and Hepatology Unit

Job Details:

* Rotating shift schedule with various days of the week including weekends as needed per unit
* No on-call requirements
* Work on a 36-bed surgical unit specializing in highly acute care for Solid Organ Transplant, Thoracic Surgery, and Hepatology patient populations
* Patient ratios are 1:4-5 with flexibility; transplant patients are staffed at 2:1 or 3:1 ratios during acute phases of care
* Patient ratios days: 4, nights: 5, weekends: 5
* Float within scope to meet facility needs and may float to sister facilities in the Metro region based on facility needs
* Care for patients with diagnoses including ESRD, ESLD, thoracic cancers, lung diseases, organ rejection, alcohol use disorders, and general medical diagnoses
* Perform and manage skills including blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tube management, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and IV insulin protocols
* Operate special equipment including chest and abdominal drains, chest tubes, wound vacs, central lines, BiPAP/CPAP, telemetry, and capnography
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Rapid Response Teams
* Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
* Scrub color: Navy
* Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in a high acuity unit required
* BSN preferred
* Must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, CPI
* Colorado or Compact RN license required
* Patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
* 6 weekend shifts required per contract
* Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
