Opportunity:

RN - OR / CST - OR

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
* Weekend rotation is on-call only - call team covers Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 6:30 AM for emergent cases only
* Call required: 1 shift per week and 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks
* Weekday call hours: after 3:00 PM until 6:30 AM
* Call back time is 30 minutes
* Holiday expectations are on-call only
* Schedule cycle runs every 6 weeks
* Approximately 10-12 scheduled cases performed per day
* Minimum 2 years of experience required for both RN and CST
* Travel experience preferred
* Surgical scrubs provided
* Free parking available
* Orientation is approximately 2 weeks, dependent on skillset and comfort level, with a call buddy within the first 2 weeks
* Required certifications for RN: BLS; ACLS preferred
* Required certifications for Scrub Tech: BLS and National Certification (CST through NBSTSA or TSC through NCCT)
* EMR: Cerner; IV pumps: Alaris; Medication dispensing: Pyxis
* Must have experience with general surgeries (open and laparoscopic) including bowel, gallbladder, appendix, and hernias
* Must have experience with urology, ENT, ophthalmology, and GYN including C-sections
* Heavy orthopedic caseload - ortho trauma experience is required; total joints experience preferred
* Must have experience with after-hours and on-call cases including trauma, ER C-sections, and emergency general cases
* RN must have C-section circulating experience
* No floating required

Facility:

This is an 89-licensed-bed teaching facility equipped with 4 operating rooms. The facility provides a full range of surgical services supported by an OR Educator, supervisors, and CRNAs who run all rooms. The organization offers a collaborative and structured environment for surgical professionals, with strong support systems in place to ensure quality patient care across a diverse range of surgical specialties.
