Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required
* Variable schedule with shift details confirmed in comments
* Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - CRT not accepted
* Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
* Delivery experience required
* Provide respiratory care for patients on medical floors, adult critical care, and the emergency room
* Perform breathing treatments, secretion mobilization, non-invasive and invasive ventilation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
* Assist with intubation, draw and analyze blood gases, and obtain EKGs
* Manage 12-14 treatments per 4-hour round or 4-5 ventilators
* Operate ventilators including Avea, Puritan Bennett 840, 3100 B HFOV, and VentiPac transport ventilator
* Use non-invasive ventilators including V60 and Vision, IPV, Capnostream 20 ETCO2, and OmniCell medication dispenser
* Document using EPIC EMR
* Float throughout the hospital to support respiratory therapy needs as required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), RRT Verification, and active Oregon state licensure
* Dress code requires scrubs, no facial piercings other than ears, and tattoos must be covered

Facility:

This acute care facility operates at a Level 3 trauma designation and provides comprehensive medical services across multiple care settings including medical floors, adult critical care, and an emergency room. The respiratory therapy department supports patients throughout the hospital using advanced equipment and a patient-driven protocol model. New staff receive a precepted orientation shift to become familiar with patient care expectations, charting systems, and the layout of nursing units and supplies.
