Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work in a 101-bed Emergency Department
* Patient ratios are typically 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
* Techs available working in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage; unit clerks available days and nights
* Utilize Baxter pumps and GE monitors
* Document using Cerner system
* Schedule requires every other weekend availability; scheduling must meet the needs of the department and block scheduling is not available
* No floating outside of the ED, but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
* Follow patient experience requirements including AIDET, respectful behavior, updating boards with patient information, and keeping patients updated throughout their visit
* Wear navy scrubs as required uniform
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) required
* Minimum 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
* Previous HCA experience preferred
* Must demonstrate teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time, and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all required on hire); ENPC required within 90 days of hire
