Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

* Work in a 19-bed mixed CVICU/CVRU unit on the 3rd floor of the Heart Tower
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity, with holdover downgraded patients at 1:3
* Every other weekend schedule required
* Float to all ICUs, stepdown units, and other units as needed
* Perform procedures including IABP, IMPELLA, hemodynamics monitoring, frequent patient ambulation, pulling chest tubes, pulling pacer wires, LVAD care, and intubation/extubation
* Work with GE monitors and Cerner EMR
* Minimum 2 years of CVICU or CVRU experience required
* BLS and ACLS certifications required
* Critical care training required
* Certification in critical care, cardiac surgery, or recovery room care preferred
* Arrive to unit ready for work no earlier than 7 minutes prior to or post shift start at 6:45 AM
* Overtime must be approved by CNCs
* Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs, nursing shoes, hair off shoulder, no fake nails

Facility:

This facility is a high-acuity cardiac care center providing heart surgery to approximately 850 patients per year. The unit is staffed with highly trained CVICU/CVRU charge nurses, a dedicated educator for orientation support, and a nurse's aide on all shifts. The team regularly works with advanced cardiac devices including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVADs, offering a dynamic and supportive environment for critical care nursing professionals.
