Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

* Work on an 18-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
* Patient ratio of 6:1 with a goal of charge nurse out of staffing to assist
* Work alongside a team including a charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, 1-2 PCTs, and a unit secretary on day shift
* Night shift team includes a charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-2 PCTs
* Perform peripheral IV starts, dressing changes, and other standard medical/surgical skills
* Operate equipment including Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDs, prima-fits, and primo-fits
* Use Cerner Powerchart as the electronic medical records system
* Medical/surgical nursing experience required
* Telemetry experience required
* Charge nurse experience preferred
* Required certification: BLS
* Scrub color/attire: all navy, all white, or white top and navy pants; navy or white undershirts if needed
* Float to other medical/surgical units and ED holding medical/surgical patients as needed
* Travelers float before permanent staff
* Every other weekend required or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
