Opportunity:

RN - General Surgery

Job Details:

* Work weekdays, 4 days a week, with a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* On-call responsibilities are required
* Work in a Level II Trauma OR consisting of 18 operating rooms
* Provide care for patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics
* Perform and assist with procedures including trauma, neurosurgery (ACDF, spinal fusions, cranial procedures), Da Vinci Xi robotics, urology, vascular, open hearts, general surgery, trauma ortho, pediatrics, plastics, and ENT
* Provide optimal patient care utilizing nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
* Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families/caregivers
* Work in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius
* 2 years of experience in a Trauma OR setting required
* Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada State RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* CMP completed within 1 year of start date required for Pre-op/Recovery RN, PACU, OR, and SDS roles

This facility is the region's only Level II Trauma Center, serving patients across a 500-mile radius and treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually. The facility operates an 800-inpatient-bed hospital with 80 ER beds and two emergency rooms, functioning at a volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center. The organization is home to the region's only children's hospital, a leading robotic surgery institute, groundbreaking brain and nerve care, and comprehensive heart and cancer services. The facility has pioneered numerous medical advancements in the region, including the first accredited heart failure center, the first Institute for Neurosciences, the first low-dose CT imaging, the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, and the first dedicated PET/CT scanner, Biplane Angiography, and 3T MRI technologies.
